You should check the rate rules. It is rare ineedd for North American hotels to be priced per person. They are priced per room, with a maximum occupancy.If there is an additional charge it is to provide a cot bed for additional people, and additional linen of course. If four of you are willing to share the usual two queen beds then you only need one cot bed.The occupancy limit is often set by fire and other safety regulations, so it is a very bad idea to break it. For one thing, it would render any insurance you are carrying invalid and may leave you with a liability.For instance, I did a quick check on Expedia and got NO difference in price at all between requesting one room for 1, 2, 3 or 4 people.I have NEVER quoted the number of people in a booking that was below the occupancy limit because it has never been asked for.
